Omega-3 index
The Omega-3 Index (% EPA+DHA in red-cell membranes) reflects long-term marine omega-3 status.
Targets of 8–12% are often cited for cardiovascular and pregnancy outcomes. Food logs alone cannot score this ratio — a blood test is required.
How to read it
Display-only in Trends. Low index suggests increasing oily fish or a quality EPA/DHA supplement after discussing dose with your provider.
Linked nutrient: Omega-3 EPA+DHA · calibrates store dynamics in Trends when logged.
